Left Vic and Carol’s with rush hour traffic buzzing from all sides, something we’re not used to. It was a day of popping in and catching up with friends and family. First stop was Noel and Follie just a few kms into our ride, 2. Simon at Ram Mountaineering, 3. Judelle and James Drake in Pinelands, 4. Argus photographer, Courtney Africa, 5. My aunt, Val de Reuck, 6. Jan Vink of Incompass Insurance Brokers, 7. Knead Bakery and finally 8. Crown Cycles
all on our bikes. We hadn’t eaten much today so the muffins and nectarines that Carol gave us were most welcome. Were still hungty so popped into Woolworths to buy sausage rolls then pedalled like crazy to get to Claire and Philip’s house. Hot showers and yummy pizzas at ….. was just what we needed and Peter and I fell into the bed that once was ours before we sold our house in Newlands (in 2013). So staying at Claire and Philip feels like being at home. Both Peter and I are looking forward to being reunited with our girls, Coco and Sophie when we return to Knysna next week… and catching up with much needed sleep.

PS. Remember International Sevens rugby will be on at the CT stadium on Sunday. From experience we have found it easier to ride into a busy part of town on a bicycle. Just a thought
